It’s no surprise to anyone reading this blog that smoothies are kinda my thing. For a while, I was making (and posting) mostly green superfood smoothies. And I love them.  But sometimes, you know, I want something a little more festive! That’s when the Piña Colada Smoothie Recipe comes in: it is a tropical vacation in a cup! I guarantee you will be addicted once you start making these. How do I know? Because I have had one every single day since I came up with the recipe. Here’s the nutritional breakdown (per recipe):

Calories: 375 (yes, this is a little steep. But it works as a meal replacement)

  • Fat – 7 g
  • Fiber – 8 g
  • Protein – 25g
  • Vitamin C – 121% RDV
  • Vitamin A- 15%
  • Iron – 43%

In addition, this smoothie is vegan and gluten free!

Piña Colada Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup diced mango
  • 1/2 cup diced pineapple
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/3 cup light coconut milk
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 level scoop Now Foods Plant Protein Powder
  • Toasted Hemp Seeds to sprinkle on top

Instructions

  • Put all ingredients in a blender in the following order: ice, liquid, fruit, protein powder.
  • Blend on high until frothy and smooth.
  • If desired, sprinkle with toasted hemp seeds and serve!
