Pico De Gallo Salsa

I love fresh salsa in the summer! Fresh salsa is full of veggies and when paired with whole grain tortilla chips, other veggies (I like dipping cucumber and celery in salsa!), or topped on a sandwich, salad, or potato can make a healthy and delicious snack or meal!

I made the Homemade Salsa from the Fixate Cookbook and just added a couple little twists!

Pico De Gallo Salsa

  • 1 medium jalapeno seeds removed
  • 2 large tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp pink Himalayan sea salt
  • 3 gloves of garlic finely chopped
  • 1 small sweet onion finely chopped
  • 1 bunch of fresh cilantro leaves finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 lime


  • Combine jalapeno, tomatoes and salt in medium bowl and mix well.
  • Add garlic, onion, and cilantro, and mix well.
  • Sprinkle with lime juice and mix.
