Instructions
Preheat your electric skillet or large cast iron pan to 375°F and add the vegetable oil.
Prepare the cube steaks by cutting them into 1 1/2-inch pieces and patting them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
In a large zip-top bag, combine 1 1/2 cups of flour, and in another bag, mix the remaining flour with all the spices. Seal and shake well to combine.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk, and hot sauce.
Cooking:
Once the oil is hot, dry the steak bites again and place around 10 bites in the flour-only bag, sealing it and shaking to coat.
Afterward, dip the coated bites into the egg mixture, then return them to the seasoned flour bag for another coating.
Carefully place the battered bites into the hot oil and fry until they achieve a golden brown coloration on both sides.
Once cooked, remove the bites and let them drain on paper towels. Keep them warm in a preheated oven at 175°F as you fry the remaining batches.
Serve the crispy bites with your favorite gravy for an enjoyable meal.
