Cook the spaghetti noodles according to the instructions on the package, drain them, and set them aside. You can add a little vegetable oil to prevent them from sticking, if desired.
In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until well combined.
Cook the ground beef in a skillet, season it, and drain any excess fat. Add the jar of spaghetti sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.
Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish with half a stick of butter.
Place half of the cooked spaghetti noodles in the baking dish, then spread the cream cheese mixture over the noodles.
Add the remaining spaghetti noodles on top of the cream cheese mixture.
Place the remaining butter slices on top of the noodles and then pour the meat sauce over everything.
Bake the dish for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the top of the dish and return it to the oven for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
