These French Onion Roast Beef Sliders are the perfect blend of caramelized onions, tender roast beef, and gooey provolone cheese, served on soft Hawaiian buns with a flavorful au jus dip.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the sliced onions and sprinkle with sugar. Cover and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally for about 15-20 minutes.
Slice the buns in half lengthwise while keeping them attached, and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Spread the bottom halves with French onion dip, then layer with roast beef, provolone cheese, and caramelized onions. Place the top halves back on.
Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, mixing it with minced garlic and parsley. Brush this mixture over the top of the buns.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted. If the tops begin to brown too quickly, tent with foil.
Prepare the au jus by combining all the ingredients in a small pot and simmering on low for 10 minutes.
Serve the sliders alongside the au jus for dipping.
