1cupthick marinara sauceplus additional for serving
2Tbspgrated Parmesan cheesedivided
1-2Tbspchopped fresh Italian parsleyoptional, for garnishing
Instructions
Cook the chicken tenders according to the package instructions on a sheet pan. Let them cool.
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray a 12x8 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Cut the slider rolls in half and place the bottom halves in the dish. Alternatively, you can use a parchment-lined sheet pan.
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Brush the bottom rolls with the garlic butter mixture. Place 6 slices of mozzarella cheese over the rolls. Spread 1/2 cup of marinara sauce over the cheese, then arrange the cooked chicken pieces on top. Drizzle another 1/2 cup of marinara sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp of grated Parmesan cheese, then cover with the remaining 6 slices of mozzarella cheese.
Place the top halves of the slider rolls over the cheese. Brush the tops with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with the reserved Parmesan cheese.
Cover the dish loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 3-5 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden and the cheese has melted.
Use a sharp knife to cut the sliders along the perforations. Serve with additional warm marinara sauce on the side.
