Hot Wings Dip

I first made this dip at Christmas for one of the gatherings we had, and boy was it so good.

It’s as spicy as you want to make it, and you could always add in more hot sauce, or jalapenos or other pepper to heat it up even more.

This dip is creamy and spicy and goes perfectly with homemade tortilla chips.

You could serve it with crackers (tried it). But, let me tell you, the homemade chips amp this up so much, your guests will be begging for the recipe!

I buy these small 6 inch corn tortillas. They are about $3 for around 100 I think? It’s a big bag of tortillas.

You can use them for making enchilladas and such.

I never have.

Once I open them, I am usually making homemade chips.

Let me tell you, they are so much better then the bagged ones. And, you can spice them yourself.

I cut them into 1/4ths and fry them in whatever oil I have – usually canola oil.

I get the oil hot, drop them in by the single pieces and let them fry.

When I take them out, I put them on paper towels to drain and salt them with Pink Himalayan Sea Salt. They are sooo good.

Take a block (8oz.) of softened cream cheese (low fat is great) and a stick of softened butter.

Add in 1/2 cup to 1 cup of Frank’s Red Hot sauce.

This would be the time to add in more sauce or other spices.

I used 1/2 cup Frank’s for my recipe.

While I was fixing dinner, I added two large chicken breasts to a pan and roasted them off.

Once they were done, I let them cool and chopped them up.

Add the chicken to the cream cheese mix.

Then, add 1 cup of shredded cheese to the mixture.

Mix up until well blended.

Add the mixture to an oven safe dish and top with 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Serve with the tortilla chips!
