Instructions
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
Add chopped sausage and Cajun spices, cooking for 4-5 minutes until sausage is heated through.
Toss in garlic, green peppers, onions, and celery, stirring and sautéing until fragrant.
Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat the meat and vegetables evenly.
Pour in the broth and deglaze the skillet, scraping up any browned bits.
Reduce heat, add the bay leaf, cover, and simmer for 7-10 minutes.
Remove the bay leaf and fold in cooked rice until fully combined. Cool slightly before serving.
