In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the bacon grease and the butter.
Add the diced potatoes to the skillet and cook for approximately 7 minutes, turning halfway for uniform cooking.
Introduce the diced onion into the skillet. Continue cooking for another 3 to 5 minutes until the potatoes soften.
Incorporate the green beans, crumbled bacon, Ranch seasoning, black pepper, and optional Tabasco sauce. Mix well and allow to heat through before serving.
