Begin by gently melting the chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave at a low setting. Once melted, pour the chocolate into the disposable cups. Tilt and swirl the cups so the chocolate coats the insides evenly. Let them set for a bit, then repeat the melting and coating to ensure the cups are sturdy.
Carefully peel away the cups once the chocolate has set.
Add a bit more melted chocolate into each cup and gently insert the crushed candy canes. Allow this to dry and harden.
Next, sprinkle 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder into each chocolate cup and pile on the mini marshmallows. Drizzle a little melted chocolate over the marshmallows to hold them in place.
Finally, decorate the tops with more melted chocolate and a sprinkle of granulated sugar. You can also dip the outer edges of the cups back into the melted chocolate for an extra touch!
